A few months after Skyrim came out, I realized that I needed money for something, although i don't recall what it was, at the moment. Whatever it was, it was incredibly urgent, as it ended up with me selling several of my games to pay for it, which for me, is near-blasphemy. So, I get home after the hour-and-a-half round trip to the nearest disc-replay, more than happy to sit down and veg out playing as my Kajhit Theif/Alchemist. All is good, until I turn on my Xbox. While I was sure that I hadn't played any games since Skyrim, there was another game in the disc drive. That is when I remembered that my nephew had come into my room the night before, when I was drunk, asking to play L4D with him (he was only 2 at the time, but was surprisingly adequate at the game, and it was his favorite to boot because of the "boomies" as he put it). Now, I'm not a man with a cold heart, so I went to the bathroom, spashed some water on my face, went down and got some stale coffee and energy drinks to try and sober myself up a bit, then got my nephew so we could play. This seems like a strange aside, but it has a point. When I take a game out of my Xbox, unless it belongs to someone else, I put it in my orange game case or next to my TV. I searched next to my TV, in the area around it, and asked my nephew if he had seen it (he sometimes takes games out of my room, so it wasn't much of a stretch), but eventually, i had to face facts; the game had been in my orange game case, which I had taken to Disc-Replay. Not knowing what would be worth anything and what they would take, I simply gave them the case and said, "anything in here is fair game." The worst part? I only got a little over 20 dollars for the six games (including Skyrim, which is STILL 50 bucks). So, I waited, not wanting to drive all the way back for the game, and doubting they would care about my plight. Three days ago, and Xbox friend of mine was playing Skyrim, telling me about how he was making characters with certain backstories and theories behind their motives, which I helped him workshop, loving the idea. It got to the point that i ordered Skyrim from Amazon.com. I got it for 20 bucks, 9 dollars for next day shipping. I figured that I would have it by the next day, so I simply waited. I was stoked to pick up where I had left off. The next day, no package. I am not deterred, as the website said sometimes, it takes a day to process before being shipped out, making it normally a 2-day process, if done too late at night. Fine, I don't mind waiting another day. But today, I go up, and it's still not there. I want to check on the status, but I forgot that I didn't order it with my Amazon account. I was on as a guest because I couldn't remember the password. TL;DR #whitepeopleproblems |
