Huh. Usually I'm somewhat aware of what is going on in the gaming industry but I've totally overlooked this. The Playstation Vita is the latest handheld from Sony to be released December of this year. It comes with two analog sticks, wifi/3g connectivity, front and read cameras, sixaxis/tilt, and a front and rear touch screen. Graphics look pretty nice as well. I've actually noticed both of these. It looks like the Vita is everything that gamers wanted the PSP to be, basically a mobile version of the Playstation... It is essentially the same controller with a screen attached. The WiiU, however, seems ridiculous to the point of being merely a gimmick. It is basically attaching a DS to your Wii via wireless. Not too impressive in the short run, but the possibilities it brings up makes it very interesting, especially its feature to play the game even when the TV is in use. It makes hardcore gamers more comfortable with having their gaming console in the family room despite the issue of the screen being in use. Another feature of the WiiU I enjoy is that it has the potential to give a more realistic 3D experience to the player, should it be developed further, due to the ability it has to interact with the television. |

Sony lost my interest in their handheld market with how poorly they treated the PSP. The games list is pretty shocking to be honest. |
