I want to get into this game, I really do, but the map system is totally jank!

I mean, I was looking around to find the plot for like, ten minutes because there isn't a checkpoint, destination, or even cursory-ly useful map points...

The show you the layout of the land and where doors are, but that's it. It would be fine and dandy if the maps were large, but when you're seafaring, most of the map is dominated by water, and you can't see land in any direction on the map. Not a problem until you realize that I can't rotate the camera to view what's ahead of me, making navigation to another island is almost impossible.

The combat types are great, but... God damn it... I just can't figure out WHERE I need to go without a strategy guide.

It's worse than I thought. I just ran into an island, but it STILL doesn't show up on my map!
