Ok, so I picked this game up for my super-awesome Mario 25th Anniversary Edition Nintendo DSiXL...

And, it seems like a great game... But it just seems so... off...

The characters are rendered in 3D, with a really low resolution. That's cool, I mean, it's a handheld game, so I don't expect realistic graphics... But they zoom in on the people so freakin' much! I mean, they try to make it seem like it should be highly detailed, because of the close ups where you can actually count the pixels that make up the face!

And that isn't my only gripe!

They use an interesting system to display emotions, rather than just implying it with actions and movements, they have a bubble that shows up which tells teh mood the person is...

The problem with that is that the bubbles either change rapid-fire, or don't make sense with what is beings said!

Seriously, you have to see it first hand to understand, but it's really obvious...

Anyone else have anything to say about this otherwise great game?

I remember seeing screenshots and a trailer quite some time ago and was mildly interested because I remember playing my friend's Golden Sun (briefly) on the gameboy. I thought the graphics were quite strange.

The gameplay looks pretty neat, though!

The gameplay is great, but if you get pissed off by the little things as much as I do, you won't have a lot of fun (although you will still have fun)

Basically, you are forced to solve puzzles by using your psyrnergy to move rocks, burn plants, or turn windmills. Most of these puzzles are optional and difficult... At the same time, however, they are how you get more power (as that is how you find djinn, the summons in that game)

So, lots of annoying little things but still a good game huh... might be worth getting. I've been thinking about what to get as a new DS game for a while now.
