Ah, but dear, sweet Bronnen, downloading items that you own (which, now you do) is not illegal. You have nothing to ph34r... all I know is that I have over 500 songs, 200 games, and a shit-ton of miscellaneous crap that I should have paid for... like movies... and tv series... etc... |

Mp3 downloads are legal in Britain unless you sell them. Download law is pretty ambigous in the UK. I doubt they'd prosecute students unless they were doing some big time selling.
Perhaps its more severe because she was actually uploading the songs. If it was mere downloading then perhaps her case wouldn't be pursued. Either way, I think the case will be dropped if she can take it higher. Edited by Setoshin, Jun 22 2009, 09:10 AM.

I'm prettty sure it's the same in Canada. All I know is that it isn't illegal to download, but I'm not sure of all the other laws. Therefore, I propose all Americans simply cross the border to download music. b_happy |

Heroes don't need super powers! o.o America should definitely join the dark side! I wonder if we ever would. Then again single songs are being sold for 99 cents and companies like Napster would be doomed. *frowns* |
