It is pretty Pheonix. I like collecting blades, but I don't have anything special and none of them are from anime.

What kind of steel was used, what is the saturation of carbon? How was it tempered? How was it cooled and hammered. These all are factors in making it durable. And since it's a replica that was made from a mold, it is not. You can use it to hit against other blades if you want, but unless you want to waste your money don't.

Does it really matter if you can kill samurais with it? Or if it is gold plated? Pheonix likes the weapon, I hope (I like it), that ought to be enough. I like the crappy katana my brother gave me years ago. Really though, I do agree with one thing. Don't go sword fight with it! Too pretty and shiny. Use a stick. Anything that is less than 1grand is made from a mold, anything between 1-3 grand is made from a mold but is hand sharpened and given its polish by hand. Don't use it against anything, it's a replica. Never hit anything with it, you'll ruin it. Edited by Bronnen, May 11 2009, 02:52 AM.

Also I don't really understand the point in collecting swords, unless it was Auron's. I'd buy Auron's sword just to have it... somewhere.

Looks to be fair quality, but I couldn't tell just from pictures haha. I actually found a custom replica of Cloud's sword, going for about 5G. Not sure if I should get the monster though....Where the hell would I put it? Also, I'm looking for the sword from the third (don't laugh) Inuyasha movie, Sounga. Yes, I like InuYasha. Burglar gets into house HeroesOfTheNet Member pulls sword out HeroesOfTheNet Member gets shot by a gun that actually hurts and doesn't need close range HeroesOfTheNet Member dies because he collects fucking swords instead of shotguns Yes. That's how useful those swords are.
