TrueBlood

TrueBlood is a Series Written by Charlaine Harris. It was originally a Book Series. (She is working on Book 9 to this Presant day.)

When i had seen the Add in my Etertainment weekly, it immedately caught my intirest. I have a love for vampires, just something about how strong and beautiful they are, makes them almost limitless.
So, with my TVo i had recorded it. (at this time i had no idea it was a book series.)
When i went to watch it, immedately the storyline dragged me in. I loved, how strange, odd, and somehow imperfect all the characters were. It amazed me at how such simple people were given such a dramatic life.
The graphics were fair, (alot better than most SciFi Vampires.) and tended to have a strange effect to them.
Yet the more i watched, the more addicted i had become. Yet when i saw the first VERY detailed erm.. 'scene' between a woman and her vampire. i cringed.
The stroyline between the main characters were innocent, cute, dramatic in a story plot way.
But the side characters you had also been drawn into, had horrible Sexual lives almost.
It was repetitive for a while, one of the side characters always seeming to get the sexual scenes.
I almost quit, when you are faced with a amazing plot, story, and characters. You are driven to see them.
But, when you are given horrible scenes in a story, it almost ruins the whole thing.
When the first part of the series had ended i found that. if i truly pushed through it all the, story, plot, and people were worth the sexual scenes.
(I DID have TVo so i could very well fast foreward through everything. I dont think i could take watching every ounce of it. Which is why IXxGlassButterflyxX would reccomend DVD's of the series if you are intirested.)

As for the Book.
I havent Finished the first one Dead Intill Dark.
BUT, so for its amazingly acurate!
The whole book excludes Sexual scenes almost entirely,
The side characters dont play as main of a role, so the two characters that are a main point in the story. With all the sweetness of a good plot. Are your main focus!
The book is also very acurate on all aspects of the TV series. Down to the very sentace they speak.
Its quite nice being able to place a Voice from them Series to the book.
There is even some information they excluded in the series, that is held only inside the book.
(Even if i havent finished the first one, i plan to read the entire series she writes. They are THAT addicting.)

Yet, even with the book, having a better rateing (PG-13 rather than R)
it lacks greatly in your view of the areas your mind is placed in.
You dont get much insight on what the characters look like, or the places, objects, things. Anything, all is left to your imagination. And that is excilent to a extent. Intill you get confuzed at what area your in, or who is talking.
As for the show, Some information that is actualy quite intiresting is excluded, and some scenes are changed for a better flow of things, You also get alot more about the other Characters, and that is up to you, if its a bad thing or not. Depends on if you hate distractions from the main target.

I Am NOT saying, one is better than the other. I am just saying its which you prefer. If you dont not mind Sexual content, i would venture to the Series. If you wish for a more modest approach i would head to the Books.
But if you really want the full extent, i would snatch both.
The full concept of TrueBlood is amazing.
and will tantalize any Vampire fans addiction to a good show.

I Hope you Enjoyed my review. I enjoyed writing it.

Lost in the dark scary part of my mind

Actually, later on the books do have sex. Also, the series is based on the books, not the other way around. They are both amazing, but the books are better. I did however like the fact that they gave Jason and Tara a larger part in the series as well as making them stronger. The books do tend to revolve directly around Sookie, as she is the main character. It doesn't so much revolve around Bill as Bill is attached to sookie. Which changes, and all that good stuff. But no reason to spill the juicy bits. Read on, butterfly, read on.
