So, Kag is going off, and he's planning on ending Project: Genesis. I, for one, really like this RP. I actually have never gotten this involved in one. He's planning on his character, Azarus, going off for one reason or another at the end. He did say that he was going to make a sequel of sorts when he came back. But, I had an idea. I ran it past him, and he's fine with it. Since Azarus is going to leave, the group's not going to be quite the same. Carry on this RP in a new topic, but if others want, they can join as well. It's been introduced that there are others like our characters. They could be introduced into the new RP. It could even be set farther along when our characters have more control, and Lerato is older. I dunno. Develop the family bonds (and not not so family bonds) that are sprouting up in this RP. That way, when Kag, and Azarus, return, we have a good solid ground. A real "family" with developed powers. Maybe others have joined the "family" along the way. Though not many others RP here, we might get some to join. I mean, our characters are becoming like real people. To me, at least. I have this thing with stories where I get sucked in. I don't write as Muse. She just sorta takes over. *shrug* That might make me weird, but yeah. Think on it: Azarus leaves. What are our characters going to do in the meantime? Just sit on their asses? Not have anymore forging of their bonds, or powers? Just stay in purgatory? Or will they all just drift apart and let those bonds die? Have nothing to do with each other? I dunno. It was my thoughts on it. Truth: Good idea, too idealistic, or just plain retarded? |

good idea... I havent been on too much myself because of the freakin flooding, but when I am back regularly, I will be happy to fill in my spot as Drake, the antisocial humanitarian (that is, one that feeds on a person, rather than likes people...)... Maybe Muse has lightened up to him? :PIMP: |

Around November 12th I'll be leaving for a couple months to go to Basic for the USAF. I'll be back with luck, around January 20th. Nice to know you've gotten into the RP though Rin. Gives me some confidence in my ability. Was thinking about a Vampire type RP next (naturally with my own twist on it). Anyways, I had planned to have the sequel RP take place shortly after Project: Genesis ends, but this can be changed to be a couple decades later if it so requires (As most the main characters don't age anyways). On a side note, I haven't gotten into this in the RP but the Genesis Project was controlled mostly by SARI, ARINA however did have a sister project that modified to a lesser extent that had far more numerous subjects (they are the Aegis Research Institute of North Armerica).... Most of them were Genesis rejects but some of them were chosen by ARINA beforehand. Major Retrius in the RP is from this sister project, many like Retrius also had some psionic abilities of their own. Two or three of them on par with Azarus (though none were telepaths or telekinetics). Lerato will age naturally, unlike those from either of the other projects. And for storyline reasons no visiting the Australia area in any future RP's... and no modern or more advanced societies. They can have modern fire-arms and such but the society itself must be medieval or renaissance (though they live on a floating platform). Now that I think about it, there are a number of societies that live in caves that were either naturally formed or carved out. They tend to be a bit particular but, well whoever takes over on this side-sequel talk to me aigh? I figure this will prolly be Rin but... |

*grin* Oh yes, that's totally what this is. In a way, Chrono, I think Muse always liked Drake. That's why she teases him so much. And she'll do a lot of flirting, with everyone, now that she is "grown-up". But yes, definitely warming up. Hasn't tazered him or anything! ^^ Well, basiclly, this was my idea: Set maybe seven years after Azarus takes off. Not long enough that it seems forever and they have to deal with a teenager, but long enough that they gain an okay control over their powers. (Which means we should probably see Linnea's and Drake's before the end of this RP, so they hold their own. You did say Drake got an ability, right Kag? If they don't show up, that's fine too. Not pushing.) But, you've got much closer relationships, everyone gets along well. Lerato's pretty much spoiled, and trained by Linnea and Muse with the mind, Drake and Abyss more physical stuff. Ya know? Anywho, they would probably have a permanant residence, and not the airship. I think it's sorta implied that the home is there in this one, but we could make it a reality. Maybe the girls wanted a stable place for Lerato to grow up? Not moving around? This is completely open to suggestion. I was planning on taking over the new one, but I've never really handled an RP before, so I think this could be a group thing. Everyone pitches their ideas for it, and I'll just mesh them into a whole and create the new one. I don't think that Drake and Muse should be a couple in the new. Not to start with anyways. Maybe dated casually, but not an item. That could come either later in this new RP, or Kag's sequel. OR: The only reason I say this Chrono, is because Muse could be going to go off for a little bit. She's very independant, and she's going to want the chance to explore the world before coming back to the family. Especially since Azarus isn't there to argue. I figure she'll leave at the end of Project: Genesis, after Azarus, and return maybe three, four years after, pretty different. More...grown up. Better for a relationship. And, if they reside in a permanant place, it'd be easier for both Muse and Azarus to find the family. Anyone is free to go off on their own. In fact, I kinda thought it would happen. In Project: Genesis, they have ties, but they're not very strong. Getting stronger, but not quite there. If Linnea has her powers back by the end, she could call for everyone to come together, if she's as strong as Kag hints at. Or, if not, Lerato, or Muse. I dunno. I'm just randomly spouting ideas that don't really connect. Different paths things could take. VERY open to suggestions. ^^ EDIT: YAY! Go for it Archy. Drake already has his abilities and uses them near regularly, though he doesn't know it. More instinctual than realized. Azarus will point them out in the RP shortly. Assuming people post *looks at Nubi and Chrono* Linnea will get her abilities back over time. Just don't go ticking her off, an adrenaline spike does the same to your physical abilities as it does to your psionic ones. This is why most of them can only really use them when pissed. Either way, she won't be on Azarus's level til later in my sequel RP, though ability wise she's a telepath and a telekinetic. She's the one who taught Azarus how to use his. In other news, Azarus is the only one of the five that hasn't had some attempt to genetically modify their abilities. His are natural, and he's spent decades training them. The group's home is basically a massive, self-sufficient, para-military research base. It's the home of maybe five hundred people, with two hundred of them staffing it on a daily basis... doing everything from agricultural work to security detail to custodial. Each of the residents have quarters on-base, and while most of it's underground most of the rooms have holographic walls (meaning you can change the environment) and nearly all of one level is a massive park. Most of the walls reflect this and it's setup to make it look like most of it is actually suspended in the air above this park; those levels above it anyways. Those below it aren't publicly accessible anyways. It's a really cool design, and very multi-purpose. Geopgraphically it's in North America, and yes there are still oceans. It's actually the primary ARINA facility, hence the massive size and work put into it. It sports a massive park, a commercial district (it's literally it's own small nation with currency and ID cards and whatnot), security, an industrial area (that can produce everything from small arms to five-man hovercrafts for surface travel), ... well, lets just say it wasn't cheap. There's also a small enclosed settlement above the base on surface that resmebles a modern society. All platform owners know the area as a no-fly zone (Azarus has had a few platforms shot down for failure to bide by his warnings) and the settlement itself is a good hundred miles from the nearest other settlement so travellers are rare. Azarus is very picky on who knows about what kind of technology they have. On another note, when Azarus wants to find them, he will. He's the only person that knows how to track them easily (not even SARI and their unending reasearch knows his way). Strangely though, my RP has only gone for like 4 days in the actual RP itself, if even that. Anyone else realise this? |

I have in fact. BTW, I really like this "new RP idea. But i do have an opinion about one thing.I would really like it if someone would take on the Lerato character. If someone new wanted to anyway. Obviously, they would have to stick with a character sheet I help design (I'm assuming Linnea will be raising him over this period, so she would have some control over his character) so that it fits in with part I. Would anyone new be interested in doing this? Keep in mind that this character will be 8, so no rebellion or general snobbishness. The other options are (I'm I'm not opposed to them either) I play two characters, or make him an NPC. I just think that since Lerato will already be part of the group by this point, it will be easier to interact with everyone else in the beginning than if you are playing someone new.. That's a good idea Reli. I was thinking of Lerato as an open character, as Nubi and I used him, but that would work too, having someone take him over. ^^ Um, so I'm really toying with having Muse leave. Maybe not immediately, but a couple months after Azarus leaves, she's gone. The only person she tells is, haha, Lerato because she couldn't escape it. He, of course, doesn't fully understand, but yeah. She won't be leaving on extremely good terms. When we start this new one, she's still gone. Anyone else is welcome to leave too, of course, split up and all. I was actually thinking of seeing if Nubi wanted to bow out of this one. She's been super busy lately, and doesn't have a lot of time. Have her show up with Azarus or something. *shrug* All depends on her and what she wants. But, when Muse comes back, she'll be different. Very different. But we'll get into that when the RP starts. Ooh. Now I can't wait. ^^ But, yeah.... |

My basic though about just having him as an open character is that now, because he's older, he should have a separate mindset. With and NPC, you usually only see the outside person through what other characters want them to say and do. Making him controlled will allow a greater read into the character. Also, it's no guarantee how they will react, because, although they don't notice right away, people make NPC's do exactly what they want. |

Not dirty really, though Drake will not be happy. Linnea might know, and Lerato probably will. But Muse won't. Not for a little after this RP begins, anyways. And Muse will be going nomadic, sorta. |

So, I sort of want in on this RP, but I can't be arsed to read through everything to understand the story. If anyone cared enough to summarize it and include everything important, give me some details about all the characters, and stuff.. I'll join to liven it up. I read somewhere, something along the lines of "It's been introduced that there are others like our characters. They could be introduced into the new RP." (First post in this topic) This probably means that new people can come in, and.. I wouldn't mind to be in if someone explained me how it rolls. |
