OOC: Yeeeaaaah...

My bad. I can't post today but as soon as I have enough free time I'll go ahead and make my 'battle post'. I know this RP has been slow on my account, since me and Ashura are really next in line to post.

Oh, and not criticizing, but does Draguza even have hair O_o?

OOC-Alright, time for a nice, violent battle post

Saying nothing, Draguza slung the flat of the hefty broadsword over his shoulder, preparing to hop down. Instantly, the twang of a now lax bowstring rung from behind him. In a blur, the creature in front of him recoiled in agony, screeching briefly before collapsing. "I love a fast woman." Raem said jokingly, half to himself, seemingly unphased by such a quick reaction. But upon turning back, surprise struck him as swiftly as the arrow had struck the beast. "A drow?!" he nearly burst out. Taken aback by his shock he pulled back on the reigns of his horse, of whom was none too appreciative of the sudden jerk at it's neck. The horse let out a neigh as it reared back on it's hind legs, tossing Raem to the ground. Landing on his back with a clank, Raem swept the eye-guard of his helmet upwards, allowing him to see more clearly as he sat up. Only to reveal a row of saliva dripping fangs not five feet from him. Raem frantically reached for his longsword. Taking the hilt in his hand, Raem lashed out. But before the silver edge had even completely left it's scabbard. Raem's elbow had lodged itself in the creature's jaws. With an initial look of shock, Raem jerked back attempting to detach the feral beast from his arm. But to no avail. But upon doing so, he had realized something-- There was no pain. While he had been taken off guard at first, Raem now realized that the creature's teeth could hardly dent his armor, let alone pierce it. Laughing, he stood once again taking his sword in hand. Then, freeing his weapon, Raem lifted it above his head, swinging down upon the creature. But as he swung, in a split decision it let go, backing out just in time to avoid a brush with death. Squealing, it retreated back, finding little interest in the ridgid meal Raem offered. The creature scrambled off to find more appetizing prey. Desiree. "Damn it!" He cried out. Scrambling after it "I'm not done with you yet!" He yelled from behind. But despite all of Raem's efforts, the creatures were quick on their feet. He was too late. It lept through the air, latching onto the unsuspecting Desiree. With a strenuous grunt, Raem grabbed the crazed monster by it's throat and drew back with his longsword. With lethal force, he plunged the end of his sword into it's abdomen. Ramming his blade through bone and flesh alike with minimal effort, Raem impaled the beast. Then dragging his sword along, he followed through with the hilt of his weapon, tearing through it's midsection with the base of the blade, eviscerating his foe before him. Throwing the remnants out of his way, he shot Desiree a smile and a wink. Almost as if you say 'You owe me'

Huor had already sped off, drawing much of the enemies attention. "Well, that works for me" Draguza thought, swinging his body from the saddle. He then began a sprint, approaching the group that had chased after Huor, blade still cast over his shoulder. Draguza held an open palm to the sky. The water inside his scabbard came to life, bending into a stream floating in midair and gathering into a large, amorphous form in front of his hand which began to move and pulsate along with the movements of his arm. The rythmic pounding of Draguza's heavy feet against the ground had left his presence more than known to the monsters. The creature hissed, staring back at Draguza as he rushed towards it. Drawing his left arm back towards his waist Draguza threw forward the unstable mass of water. Ramming into the monster with crushing force the glistening form bludgeoned the monster's skull, throttling it's neck back into it's shoulders and causing the water form to burst into a spray of droplets. With such force in fact that it lifted onto it's hind legs. Presenting Draguza ample opportunity. Continuing his assault, Draguza hoisted his blade up from his back, swinging it down, around, then upwards in a full moon motion. It's glimmering white edge effortlessly slicing through the creatures rough hide. Blood spatter shot from the thin wound across the creature's exposed stomach, landing lightly as small red drops upon Draguza's face. Following the same motion of his sword, he twisted his body, turning his back for a brief moment then shooting his leg outward. Draguza's foot crashed against the monster's underbelly, knocking it's feet from the ground. Taking his weapon in both hands, he swung it from over his shoulder and brought it's blade down with savage strength upon the helpless monster.

As the reddened edge of Primal Fang cleaved through the beast, slamming deep into the earth. The creature exploded in a vibrant display of crimson rain, showering the battlefield in it's gore. Trampling the remains of the fallen creature another beast jumped at Draguza, snapping at his chest. But only to meet with the broad of Draguza's sword as he laid it's feral jaws off to the side as he stepped back from his enemy. Then, spotting an opening, he shot forward with a single deft movement. Striking shallow, the blade of Primal Fang's guard nicked the beasts' throat. Then digging deep into it's shoulder clashing against bone. In spite of Draguza's offense, the creature whipped it's head about wildly, snapping at anything it's jaws could come in contact with. Until finally it's fangs had found themselves ensnaring Draguza's hip. Roaring with pain, he lifted his broadsword above his head. Then with a grunt he crushed it's pommel against the brow of the beast. Forcing it's grip from Draguza's body and causing it to fall to the ground, writhing in agony. Then leaning down he placed his palm against the earth. The water that had been scattered before suddenly began rushing to the spot where he had placed his hand.

Teeth barred, Draguza let out a cry. Shooting to his feet, he threw his hand to the air. As if mimicking his every motion, a violent cascade suddenly tore from the land, crashing through anything that lay in it's path. Instantly, the immense pressure of the small geyser heaved the beast into the air several feet above Draguza's head. In a helpless display the monster tossed and turned as it vaulted through the sky. But that all came to an abrupt end the moment it met with the ground. A loud snap rang from it's corpse as it crashed down with brutal impact.

Myrdin's rode back to the castle was met with more stares than Myrdin had hoped for. He had previously made special care that no one had seen him leave, so now many people would be curious about his "extra-curricular activities". But this wasn't a couple of kids letting the horses loose, this was espionage. He grimaced inwardly, hoping that not too many people would start to talk. one false move and all of this would be over. It mattered not. Shaking his head vigorously, Myrdin resolved to send some of his "assistants" into the city to stop any rumors.

The castle still presented the edgy warmness that made your blood run cold. It had been built before the militaristic takeover, so it still possessed a hidden regal splendor. Though he had only lived here a few years, Myrdin knew all of the secrets the castle offered, from secret passages and rooms, to special magic traps and furnishings. Ascending the long flight of stairs to the top, Myrdin knocked twice before re-entering Rem's room, but this time he was a lot more prepared.

Have you chosen your aides for the talk yet?
Rem looked up from the map he was marking. Myrdin winced when he saw the little vein the Rem's forehead. He was wearing wrinkled and dirty clothes, a very tightly wrapped scarf and a look of desperation.
No. I'm not well. No. There's no one. No ONE! I can't trust anyone! And now I'm sick and don't think it wise for me to leave. Will you go. PLEASE!!!!!!!?!
Of course Rem. Provide me with a couple men and i will make my way to Kusari. But there is just one other thing-
Myrdin slammed the door shut. The only noises that could be heard from outside was the drawing of a rapier and a heavy sound as something hit the floor.

OOC: MUAWHAHAHA ::EVIL::

Aurelias stood in place for what seemed like hours, slowing his breathing to an almost non-existant barely audible level, summoning various magics into a small orb floating below his left palm, drawing his sword with his right, always knowing he was being watched. He couldn't see this predator, but he knew they were there. A less experienced man probably would've journeyed or camped here, not realizing the signs around them that something was wrong, going on until they were too tired to travel any farther and camping then. The creature would probably wait until they were too weak to fight or they were asleep and kill them then. No, Aurelias wouldn't fall for this.

He was hoping whatever was hunting him would find him too difficult a prey and move on, but if they wanted to fight he'd fight them head on with everything he had. Aurelias wasn't like most thing this beast had probably hunted. Aurelias knew how most of the beasts in these mountains hunted, where they took up residence, and even the various signs that accompanied a certain beast's territories. Nearly three decades of being the hunter in these mountains had taugh him many things.

A sharp crack echoed through the air, disturbing the almost insane silence like a crack of thunder. Then another sharp crack. Followed by another. Getting louder, and closer with each one. Aurelias dodged with almost inhuman speed, mostly on instinct as the dead husk of an ancient tree crashed into the ground where he just was. His evasive move left him wide open for the next one, which he dodged with far less ease. The third one slammed into his back, the runes on his armor flaring as he went flying. The impact with the ground twenty feet away from where he was, was not comfortable. His armor had saved him most of the blow that would probably have killed any other man. His back ached and he knew it would for awhile, but he shoved it aside, he had to if he wanted to live. Now was not the time for pain to take precedence. Now was the time for the fight, pain would come afterwards.

This darkness was not helping him though. In this part of the Zanties it'd have to be nearly noon for any direct light to reach the pass. With the cloud cover as it was, it'd be nearly impossible to tell what time it was. There was a fix for this darkness though, a simple spell almost all Kusari children were taught. A magic flame crackled to life, erupting from Aurelias's downturned left palm. A swift move later and it flew from his palm in a circular pattern around him, finally coming to rest about fifty feet from him in all directions.

Another look around showed him the dead tree husks that had been used as weapons. Judging from the debris, whatever had thrown them was well outside the circle of light that had been created. These forests of dead tree husks surrounding the pass would make this a difficult battle, one Aurelias could not win even if he were in top form. No... A wise general always knew when to retreat, and this was one of those times. Aurelias summoned his steed with a whistle, it appeared moments later. It's training having overridden it's instincts to run when the battle commenced, atleast a bit.

Aurelias summoned some magic to give his horse some well needed energy, from his own reserves. It was a risk, but he had a gut feeling that he needed to get out of here.

OOC: God Dammit.....>_<

IC: Tylos wasted no time in preparing for the battle that seemed as sure as the night's rain. After checking over his wounds he moved over to the side of the road. Standing in the gravel by the side of the road, he made the smallest incision in the center of a scar on the left wrist, reopening the old wound. He allowed a rather large amount of blood to well up before depositing the basin onto the gravel before him, almost laughing to himself as he did so. He couldn't help but recall the constant chaffing he had received throughout his guild hood for this very act. It was one of the reasons he decided to give up the guild. Tylos never actually went about preaching his beliefs to the others, though he still wished he had been a little more careful in his worship as the jeers grew worse. Even still, he couldn't help but think how the majority of the guild members who had ridiculed him were now among the deity's themselves. As cynical and illogical as it may be, he reasoned his compendium of how he was still living certainly didn't aid in discrediting his religion. He even allowed himself a short prayer before reassessing the task at hand. Removing the satchel tied to No-Kemptu's middle, he produced a small stone. Palming the rock with his right hand, he placed the other just above the monolith. Striking the stone with one of his left talons he procured a rather large amount of sparks. Calling forth all the strength he risked losing, his being and the surrounding air grew frigid as he suddenly shot out his left hand directly in front of him bringing life to the sparks, coaxing them into the roaring flame he desired. Expending a temperate amount of energy he allowed the flame to become self-sustaining. Holding No-Kemptu with his right hand, he brought the fire just above his left to the actual blade itself. The blade itself instantly took to the supernatural flame and allowed it to completely encompass the weapon. Testing it out, he made a few slashes at the air and was satisfied when the flame didn't leave the blade.

He began to tie the purse around his neck when he suddenly stood up rigidly, without any previous indication the ground around him began to quake and the air grew heavier as he spun around to face his companions. From their expressions he could tell he wasn't the only one who had noticed. Then, as suddenly as it had begun, it ceased. Tilting his head slightly, he began to walk slowly over to the party that had long since stopped. Though as soon as his foot struck the ground another tremor, closer this time, again shook the earth and again stopped after a few moments. Scanning his comrades, he spied Draguza crouched over near the most recent tremor. Without warning or of any visible cue at all, all at once the very Earth was torn in an upheaval of motion and before even his trained eye completely comprehended what was happening, eight feral savage beasts were standing right in front of the party. Oddly enough as he would later recall it, a few tranquil moments were had as the entire party just...stood there. Before the resounding twang of a bowstring and a single arrow notched itself it the head of one of the creatures. The drow woman no doubt. The beast screamed in agony and thrashed its head trying to dislodge the missile. Upon hearing this all of the tunnelers bounded towards the bulk of the group, and a frenzy of action began as each combatant fought the savages and participated in their own squabbles. Tylos himself readjusted his footing, and expectedly seemed to of caught the attention of one of the savages. Turning his head oddly enough exactly to where Tylos was standing, he hissed savagely, then took one moment of hesitation before bounding straight for him. At once, Tylos noticed that the beast seemed to be struggling with running on the road. Perhaps he was simply unaccustomed to running on flat land. At any rate, Tylos felt the smallest amount of pity as he lifted No-Kemptu to eye level and focused his thoughts on the fire...

The entire battlefield was illuminated in a ghastly ivory flash as the beast exploded into a hail of flame and indistinguishable mass as the concussive blast sent smoldering entrails fanning out in every direction. One of the most powerful attacks Tylos had been taught. A decision he regretted immediately afterwards. Though the foe was gone, Tylos hadn't anticipated the immense loss of energy he was succumbing to. Gasping and choking, he leaned against No-Kemptu as his vision darkened and turned completely black. Falling to the ground, he got up on all fours and attempted to calm himself, oblivious to his vulnerability. 'Damn. Too much....too much'. A new consciousness suddenly bounded at him from the massive bulk before him. Relying on his body to do it's task, instinct took over as he jumped forward bringing No-Kemptu up in a sweeping ark and into the jaws of the predator that would of been around his neck given another moment. The being hit the ground in shock. After realizing what had happened, it went into a rage and began to thrash about trying with every fiber of its being to dislodge the blade from it's mouth as the imbued fire wreaked unseen havoc as the monsters fleshy inner walls began to char. All it succeeded in doing was further lodging his weapon into it's throat, intensifying its misery. Relying on what little brute force he had this time, Tylos thrust the metal deeper into the flailing monster, a stifled whimper emanated from the beasts throat as Tylos grabbed No-Kemptu with both hands and thrust it upwards as it tore through his opponents skull. His kwan sword was at last freed and was followed closely by seared gore as the tunneling creature finally followed suit with the rest of his brethren, taking it's final resting place in the gravel. Leaning on No-Kemptu once more, he scanned the battlefield and saw that the rest of his companions had also seemed to of finished up. 'Wrong. All wrong'. Taking what little energy was left in the fire, he sheathed his sword and fastened it to his hip. Walking over to the rest of the party, he extended his thoughts for all to hear,
"Comrades, I hope some of you share my unease when I say there was more than a few things a little odd about our battle". He wasn't exactly surprised either when Ferestin was the first to inquire, now sitting cross-legged on the dirt with his arms at his hips, "That so? Enlighten us oh noble warrior", he said almost challengingly despite his grin. "During our entire battle, it was quite apparent that something was wrong with those creatures. One of the feral beasts who attacked me could barely keep his balance when he lunged at me. And, during our entire squabble, two lone figures stood on that bluff just over there". Extending his claw, he pointed to the now desolate rock formation a few hundred meters from the road. He left the party with what he hoped had not been new information. He walked over to the edge of the forest and bent down, thanking her for another battle won, and weakening his opponents. Opening his eyes, Tylos stood up and came back into view. He could walk the rest of the way.

OOC: I know I didn't include this in my character sheet, but Tylos is also VERY religious. Just figured it would add to the diversity ^_^.

Also, I suppose it's about it time we talk to that Sentinel Soldier Aurelias had sent out. I would of included it in my post, but I really wanted to get this post up already and sorta didn't feel like writing all that dialog out.

Lost in the dark scary part of my mind

"Comrades, I hope some of you share my unease when I say there was more than a few things a little odd about our battle," Tylos said. Des glanced at him and nodded slightly. showing her agreement.
"That so? Enlighten us oh noble warrior," Ferestin said challengingly from his seat on the floor, a grin on his face. Des pursed her lips, turning away to glance over the land, searching for her gelding. Seeing him a small distance away she whistled shrilly for him as Tylos said,
"During our entire battle, it was quite apparent that something was wrong with those creatures. One of the feral beasts who attacked me could barely keep his balance when he lunged at me. And, during our entire squabble, two lone figures stood on that bluff just over there." He pointed to the bluff and then walked away, leaning down near the forest. Des' gelding came trotting up to her and she smiled brightly, patting his neck affectionately. Seeing two figures standing a small distance away, she said,
"Look. A convoy from Kusari, perhaps?" She leapt onto her gelding in one swift motion, and after a small hesitation, left her cloak off. They had already seen. There was nothing to be done about it. She trotted her horse forward a little, going out to meet them.

Hello, she said softly, vibrant eyes watching them. The woman was a Lady by her stance. She wore the tell tale armor of a Kusari, silverish with black runes etched into it. She had jet black hair and tanned skin. Scars marred her face, presumably from battle, but she was still a striking woman. The figure beside her was also clad in Kusari armor, but covered from head to toe. Not even eyes showed. Des couldn't distinguish whether or not it was male or female, so she didn't try. Ignoring what she assumed was the guard, she faced the Lady, bowing on her horse. "A convoy from Kusari I presume?" Not waiting for an answer, she moved her horse back a few paces so that Draguza could take over. He was the leader of the group after all.
The guard was making her uneasy though. It stood at seven feet tall and had an ill-boding presence. She shuddered slightly and closed her eyes, trying to find her center. But it refused to come to her and she turned her gelding, trotting him off a small distance. Immediately, she began to feel better, and she slid down, resting against a large rock. Wiping sweat from her brow, she let her head fall back, trying not to worry about the reactions that would likely come from her companions. A drow was not to be taken lightly. Not even a halfling like her.
Shaking the thought away, she stood and prepared herself to return to the group.

Lady Solari watched the reaction of the first to adress them. It wasn't unusual for outsiders to have such a reaction to the Kusari elite that stood beside her. In fact, she had seen much worse--it was not unknown for to just simply run away; or worse, attack them on the spot. Of course, for most individuals attack a Republic Guard one on one was simply suicidal. This may also be why the Republic Guard was dispersed about the city rather than clumped together. Then again, as a native Kusari she didn't really understand outsider's reactions.

Having grown up with the constant presence of the guards, she was completely used to their presence. Children who came to the city to visit were much the same, being more intrigued by the guards than unsettled. For that matter, it was only the adults that ever seemed to have a really serious problem, and even then only those who were on the verge of "crazy" to begin with. Still, the Republic Guards themselves were typically atleast minorly unsettling to outsiders, only the native Zantie peoples seeming to be sometimes as unaffected as the native Kusari themselves.

Solari never quite understood the nature of the Republic Guards, though she was told by someone that Aurelias was once privy to such information. It was a thing he would never respond to if asked, pretending that he didn't hear it if you did ask. He did once however relate the guards to trained demons, though Solari was neither sure if she heard him right or if he was even slightly literal with the statement.

Your associate is quite right about our nature. We are indeed from Kusari, sent to escort you the rest of the short way. She spoke, when Draguza came closer. She watched him carefully, seeing if he would be as unreactive as most of those of his race that had met one of the Guard before him.

How many H's are in phunk?

OOC- Well, anyways.
Casting a stern gaze across the battlefield, Draguza's drab, gray eyes shot up from the creature which lay motionless several feet away. The once lustrous edge of Primal Fang had been spattered with deep red. Just as the dark, minute spots dotting the back of his coat. The enemy numbers were quickly thinning and his fellow cohorts were making short work of the ravenous beasts. In spite of the mildly arduous encounter, Draguza couldn't help but slightly grin watching the others dispatch the remaining enemies. It looks like the faith he had placed in his comrades had been well spent. It would appear the warriors of whom had responded to his summon were worth every gold and silver piece that would soon fall into their possession. Draguza hoisted his blade in his right hand, laying it to rest upon his shoulder. With his other hand, he waved across his chest, speaking a single word "Estreama" and with that, the entirety of the water stored within the oversized scabbard came pouring out at once, wrapping it's way around his mid section. Then soon enough, the creeping flow moved to enveloping his entire figure in a swift, rushing eddy.

"Kai" at his command, the rushing waters came to a sudden halt. And almost like an obedient pet complying at it's masters signal. The large, diaphanous water mass promptly returned to it's place within the absorbent inner walls of Draguza's sheath. Walking forward, he emerged from the whirling mist, shaking off the barely noticeable droplets that he had overlooked. Looking back, Draguza noticed that he wasn't the first to deal with his share of the inconvenience's. Hour sat on the ground several yards away, it would appear Draguza had lost a bit of a step in his age. Sending him an acknowledging grin, Draguza started on his way back to where he had left his horse. But to his surprise, two figures, one of much more extraordinary stature than the other stood there. As he drew closer he began to make out the two. One was obviously a woman, but what had caught his attention was what appeared to be her escort. A what one could only guess to be man, who stood about the same height as himself. However, unlike him, every inch of the guard was adorned with engraved ornate armor. An uncommon sight these days for someone living in the city indeed.

Desiree, who had finished before him; had already moved to greet them. While still out of speaking distance, Draguza could see that they had exchanged pleasantries. As Des had respectfully bowed to the woman, as he continued on. While walking unfettered despite their sudden appearance, Draguza never once took a hand off his broadsword. Upon approaching them, Des noticed his presence. Rearing back on her horse's reigns, she maneuvered away so Draguza could face the new arrivals.
"Your associate is quite right about our nature. We are indeed from Kusari, sent to escort you the rest of the short way." She said. "That so?" Draguza responded, slipping the leather strap from around his shoulder. While he was a suspicious man, Draguza knew well enough the culture of the Kusari to recognize the extremity of armor that only the elite Republic Guards wore. He then protruded his shoulder, arcing the large, sable sheath in front of him. Hoisting the hefty blade into the opening, it gave an ever so slight squeak as the metal brushed against wet leather. "Draguza Kourashi. First councilman of Acreteria." He spoke, introducing himself with utmost formality and manner, as he slung and secured the scabbard back over his shoulder. Turning back to a few others who were a bit ways out. Draguza waved his hand, beckoning for everyone to come near.

"So, if you've come out to meet us. Then that must make you Lady Solari." Draguza was somewhat familiar with the Kusari. As a boy, he was always curious about the fortress city that lay to the east of his home. The only outsiders ever allowed within the city walls were important officials and rich businessmen who wished to seek enterprise within Kusari. This however, never once stopped Draguza from learning as much as he could about the mysterious people from the literature and written accounts of those who've ventured past the walls. And now, although he had been in contact with the officials of Kusari, he had still yet to see the city for himself.

OoC: Buncha slackers. A few of you should be able to post just fine if you really wanted to.

Indeed it would Councilman Kourashi. Solari spoke formally as she turned. I believe you have a meeting to attend to in the city before you are allowed passage. That will be tomorrow, but for now I trust you're all curious about our city? We will let you wander it, under supervision of course. Regardless, it is best we move on before something more troublesome comes upon us.

Sometime later the group arrived at the main gates of the Citadel. The two Republic Guards looked at the one accompanying the group, then to Solari, then to the group, and then again to Solari. She nodded. They stepped aside and pushed the gates open.

Unlike the near barren wasteland that made up the area surrounding the city, once you passed beyond the smooth stone walls it was as if you were in another reality. Kusari itself was bustling with activity. The outermost ring of the city was amess with variously designed residential and commericial buildings mixed only in some loose fashion that somehow managed to fit with the very uniform roadways between them. The city itself was a bustle of activity, as it remained one of the major trading hubs unaffected by the war. Gate restrictions were a bit tighter, but other than that it seemed that very little had changed within the city itself.

Beyond the outer wall and it's mess of structures lied the inner wall and it's protected government structures, and of course the spire that rose up into the heavens. Few were allowed beyond the inner gates, relatively speaking anyways. The guardsmen, the Republic Guards themsleves, a varying mix of mages and wizards, and various military officials made up the jist of them. The Kusari were a republic, that was true. But only in the political sense. The military leadership was a tribunal of tested individuals chosen for their skills alone. Lady Solari was one. Lord Aurelias another. The third, while still technically holding the position, hadn't been seen in a while but was known as Lord Novius. The elected Magistrate dictated the direction of the military's view, but the Tribunal were the ones who figured out the actions to carry out.

As a small group of guards gathered around the Lady, she gave out orders to each of them before turning to the travellers.

The Magistrate sends you his welcome, and offers you a wander of the city. He apologizes that you must be watched, but with the war and your varying backgrounds it is a thing we must do to not arouse suspicion. Rooms have been made available for you in the government buildings when you are ready to rest. You are all however expected in the main conference hall of the Magistrate's Tower at noon tomorrow. If you wish to go on past this city, this meeting is mandatory. She gave a polite bow before turning and walking away.

She was getting so tired of being cooped up in this fortress city. Aurelias always got to go on "away missions" and no one knew where the hell Novius was, so that left her to remain in the city and manage the home-front, so to speak. It was a boring job of signing papers and making long drawn out walks in public places to show her presence and that of those she represented.

And to make things worse, there were parts of the city she wasn't even allowed to enter. The catacombs were the main area that intrigued her. She learned in passing that down there somewhere was the reason that only Kusari magic worked in the city's walls. And she heard a rumor that down there was the secrets of the Republic Guards and perhaps even a hint to the reason of the Zantie cataclysm that scarred the mountains so long ago. She'd seen Aurelias go down into the catacombs on a few occassions, and even the Magistrate himself once. She sighed in annoyance as she walked past the heavily guarded smooth-stone building that made up one of the entrances.

Moments later she walked through the inner gates and into the courtyard that surrounded the main government building. In truthit was a myriad of smaller buildings on the bottom, surrounding one single large tower that seemed to emerge in an almost natural-looking fashion from the rocky ground and stone walkways below it. Regardless of the rocky climate though, greenery wasn't uncommon withint he city. Kusari magic was good at keeping things alive and helping them thrive.

OoC: Not my best. The area between the inner and outter walls is the main residential and commecial area of the citadel, the main paths are well layed out and very sensical. The buildings around them however are the exact opposite, and made from whatever the builder had available. The walls and the center tower of the city are all made from the same smooth stone that seems as if it was almost naturally in that position. I'll do more on the central tower in my next post.

My Blog: Thoughts of Randomness

So, like usual, I try to change this every so often.
I don't know if anyone notices, but I do it anyways.
I hate studying.
Have I mentioned this?
Anyways, I do.
It bites.
In other news,
It all began with Brownies.
And then sped up a little bit.
Not quite to phone numbers yet though,
But that might change.
I hope it does.

Fun Quote!
Dahleks be warned, you have declared war on Cybermen.
This is not war. This is pest control!
We have 5 million Cybermen. How many are you?
We are 4.
You would destroy the Cybermen with 4 Dahleks?
We will destroy the Cybermen with 1 Dahlek. You are superior in only one respect.
What is that?
You are better at dieing.

Lost in the dark scary part of my mind

Des entered the city with a relieved sigh, watching the others from the corner of her eye. So far, no one had said anything to her. At all. She figured they were uncomfortable with a half-drow in the group, and gave them distance. She'd become accustomed to it, and for the most part, it didn't bother her. Still, as soon as Lady Solari said that they could roam the city, she was gone, slipping from the group quickly.

She led her gelding to a stable near the government building where her room was, and then set off the explore the city.
There were a few drow here, Des noticed with surprsie, but they gave her no eed and kept to the shadows. She didn't bother. She strode bravely down the streets, nodding to the people, some in armor, some not. She could feel eyes following her, but she ignored them.

Finally, she stopped before a dark pub on the slum side of the city. Not even hesitating, she stepped inside.

The whole place fell into silence as she walked in and eyes turned towards her. All sorts of different races were here. Even a drow. Confidently striding up to the bar she said in a regular voice,

"A dinner plate and a pint of mead, if you will." her voice carried, but she kept her eyes trained on the Kusari before her. After a long moment, he nodded and turned away. Chatter began again, and Des felt a tension ease between her shoulder blades.

Taking a seat with her back to the wall and facing the entrance, she studied the worn table until her meal arrived. The elfin girl that served it to her shyed away nervously and Des sighed, losing her patience and snapping,

"Just go, girl!" The elf scuttled away, leaving Des to eat in relative peace.

OOC~ Wow. I didn't think this one would die.....but I guess it did. This is me randomly trying to kick start it...

Myrdin watched the Drow lady quietly, sipping his drink. He too had slipped away from his group to relax in the edges of the city. Kamaria was taking longer than expected. Willum had gone with her and the two of them were to meet his party on the road and fall in with all the other hooded agents Myrdin had brought with him for that very purpose.

The two of them should have been at the pub before him, but they hadn't arrived.

How's life?
Kamaria, as if on cue, glided into the seat opposite Myrdin, wearing the blue scarf, wide brimmed hat as usual. But she also wore the beige, unmarked cloak that made her unrecognizable by anyone.
Willum...?
-is dead on the road, just like you asked me to. I don't think anyone noticed, but I carried the body to the building and hid it in the closet. I didn't spill any blood.
But did you get it?

Kamaria produced the roll of parchment.
You have no idea how hard it was to get this. I had to kill a couple dozen men is no one would realize what we've done.
Well at lest we got it.

Myrdin looked around. Most of the inhabitants were drunk, engaged in dark conversation or simply sitting too far to notice anything.
I must be crazy to do it here. But I have no choice. I don't think there is anywhere else to pull it off.
He pulled a pouch from inside his cloak, dropping the five hairs on the table. There were seven squares in ink already on the parchment. Five were empty, the other two were filled with the old symbols for elf and orc.

From people at the trading post?
Hairs so ripe for the picking. I figured I'd save you the trouble.

Mrdin placed each hair onto a vacant square. I absorbed into the page like ink and slowly pun itself around to form more symbols.
Man... Drow... Takawashi... Dwarf... and Drakar. All the races.
Myrdin let himself smile. He had just gotten the last puzzle piece, but now he had to put the puzzle together. But he would have to wait. Rem needed his rest before the big day.

OOC; Find out what kind of EVIL scheme I have in store by POSTING! :OOC

Go search again. Can't bring a house to water and force it to drink.
Yes, houses can be difficult like that.
