http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percy_Jackson_%26_The_Olympians Basically, Roman/Greek Gods are real and as in the days of old they just can't resist having sex with humans. The only gods that are exceptions to this, whether by choice or by law are: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades: The 3 most powerful gods. Their children have caused the balance of the human world to shift dramatically. Such as George Washington, a son of Zeus. After their kids caused WWII they swore on the River Styx to never have any more kids. Though this has been broken... and usually the other 2 gods try to kill the kid if they survive long enough to learn of Camp Half-Blood. But they are off-limits to kill for this reason if they do reach it. (1 Child for each. Must ask first and obviously not all of them should be there at once in the beginning) Artemis: Swore to be a maiden forever. If you are a girl half-breed you may eventually be invited to join her group: The Huntresses, also eternal maidens. (TOTALLY OFF-LIMITS) Hera: Only does it with Zeus. (TOTALLY OFF-LIMITS) Anyways, the gods move with the west. They are currently in America, the entrance to the Underworld is at a recording studio in Los Angeles. you need directions to get to. (Unless you've been there before) Eventually you might be given a quest by the Oracle while you are at camp Half-Blood. Usually you can pick some people to go with you. You will be given a prophecy and the quest won't truly be over untill it has been fulfilled completely. All parts, good or bad. It is possible for certain others to help you tweak what really happens though... if they are good enough heroes anyways. If you do very good at the camp, or if picked for a quest: Your godly parent may grant you a magical item: Like a sword that is espicially for monsters and doesn't work on mortals. Or a cap that makes you go invisible. Or flying shoes. Or a spear with electric properties. There is a number of activities at camp like archery and sword/spear fighting. You can also practice riding Horses or Pegasuses. They hold canoe races sometimes, and at the end of every week is: Capture the flag. There are usually 2 sides and the people pick alliances. If picked for a quest then Argus will take you back to earth, and as far as he can take you. The currency among gods and other olympians/underworld creatures is Golden Drachma coins. Can be rewarded to you at times or you could jack some from a monster. I think I covered about everything... so what about it? Good Idea? I'm sure PainWhisper and Setoshin will want to RP as one of the fully-godlike characters. <_< |

I'm sure a plot will be introduced during the early stages of the RP, and I would think that you would have some control in a narrator position (Oracle) to keep everyone from getting 1,000,000,000 for every monster killed.

It's not like FF when they drop coins. The monsters and every olympian can disguise themselves as humans. They run shops and if a human or demi-god stumbles in to them (Since they're meant for gods.) they attack you. Then if you kill them you can jack their stufff. And since Gold Drachmas are worth a lot they won't have a bunch laying around. But if you go out of your way and do a favor for a god while you're already on a quest you'll get a lot. |
