Alric Ungthol patrolled the outskirts of his lord's lands. To protect the peasants, from the wretched goblins and orcs that roamed the area. In hand, was his Flamberge, ready to hack an enemy apart. It was a cold day in the fall of the season, and his breath was seen as he exhaled. Few birds sang in the dark forest, shrouded in mist almost perpetually, it was the perfect place for an orc raid. But this was just the thing Alric would prevent. He walked on through the brush, hacking down the occasional bush that got in his way, that would have taken only munutes to walk around. But his arms were getting stiff by holding his sword, and from the cold. Soon, he heard a growl from the brush, answered by many more. Out of the mist came wargs, with orcs astride them. The dogfaced beasts with their riders ran towards him. Holding the sword by the handle with his right hand, and the handle with his left, the four and a half foot long blade was used as a spear, the warg impaled itself, and with the momentum, Alric kneeled down, and carried the thing over his head, and had the warg crush its rider underneath it, they both died. Pulling out his sword, he sidestepped, and slashed low, cutting three legs out from under the warg, then, reversing his slash, lobbed the head off the orc rider. The heavy sword's momentum was too great, and he swung it into a tree. No time to pull the blade out, his pulled out his Mithral longsword, as two orcs walked towards him, wary of the half dragon. With a battle cry, he swung a back handed slash at the closest orc, slashing open its chest from the right shoulder to the side of his stomach. He then parried the next orcs club, and stabbed it in the throat, where it slid off the blade by itself, and died. Cleaning off his weapon, he sheathed his longsword, and pulled his signature weapon from the tree, going so far as to even put a foot on the tree to pull out the twenty pound adamantine blade. He fineshed his patrol without incident, and went to the keep, to get a hot meal, and an ale. |

Waiting in the dense fog that cloaked the forest, Sergei gazed at the large manor that stood on the hill. The much smaller hovels that dwindled in size compared to the towering building, lay scattered on the south edge, to Sergei's right. A few people wandered back and forth, but Sergei's attention was directed more towards the flock of sheep in the pasture, on the northern side of the manor.. There were a couple of serfs watching them, but they didn't bear any weapons. Shaking himself to clear the water that had settled, Sergei beat his wings twelve times, before managing to rise a few feet. With a burst of effort, he tore through the highest branches and swooped down over the pasture. He heard the cries of the shepherds, but hee took no notice. Grabbing a sheep in each claw and one in his tail, Sergei flew up and west, back over the forest towards the desert. |

The large, heavy, spiked tail swung with enough force to shatter the bones of most creatures. The force from the blow smashed a tree in half, killing the foolish beast that had dared attack Hellio. A roar of triumph erupted from the frozen forest atop the mountain. The plants within the immediate area shook, dropping snow and icicles. Hellio turned to his fallen foe. He was hungry and had managed not to totally crush the creature so it was fair game. Up here in the mountains, every creature was prey to a dragon. Picking up the beast in his jaws he flapped his wings a few times and was off, soaring through the skies. Down below he could spot the towns that resided near the base of the mountains. He could see the great white flocks of sheep, just right for the picking, wandering around aimlessly. "Lucky for the farmers that I've found myself a meal for now," Hellio thought to himself. Although no meal would satisfy his hunger forever, and soon enough he'll need to go visit some old friends of his for dinner. OOC: dang it. so short, I need direction. |
