--- after many seconds of reasoning: to revive this forum. Hell, why not? I will (of course) mainly be focusing on the Graphics, and Computers/Technology section, but whatever floats my godly boat.
Moving on, Nubi where you at?

So, I was googling myself (technically speaking, my "JenSama" IGN) and I stumbled upon this forum again. It was forgotten for awhile..
Point across: Hello, there. I am JenSama, or as some of you should remember -- your goddess. Cheers to all. (;

Here it is:
I'm 24 weeks and four days pregnant, I'm healthy and so is my baby.
The baby weighs a pound and a half, had a strong heartbeat of 150 bpm, and is 9 inches.
And it's a girl. Her name is going to be Lyra Jade. ^^

I think HotN is dying. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's dying.. The only thing that it's lacking so it becomes official is a topic where we all talk about what happened, and then we can go sepparate ways.
I remember a lot of things from when I joined. Like how I managed to put an entire forum against me by mistake, and ended up using the "I'm getting paid to bring you back together, even if it's against one person" excuse. That was pretty awesome. And I was, Seto, your signature was so fücking huge, puh-lease!
Then, I remember all my arguments with everyone. God, I was really hated. Now that I think about it, no one actually liked me. I mean, Seto probably respected me a little bit for flaming everyone back and holding my ground, and SoS was intrigued by me, but other than that, everyone thought I should just get the * out. Even Nommie.
Then, I had that endless argument with him and he eventually started liking me. That was long. That was like, too long for me to remember, even. But I'm pretty sure I won, as usual :3
Then people started liking me a bit more and I started being a bit more friendly, and then all of a sudden the only one that hated me was Nubi because I was always conspiring to take over the forum. Aaaaaah, good times!
I also remember the time when me and Seto were gonna get married, and Rin was gonna get married to Nommie, who had a kickass avatar (the Game Over one).
Oh, and caboose! That guy was so retarded. And then the guy whose name started with an M, and someone called him to come over just to piss me off or something but he ended up leaving because I was winning, as usual.
And Ashura, too. He got so pissed off at me, God, he really had tons of sand in his vagina. I got his panties in a bunch :3
I have great memories from Heroes Of The Net. It was probably the only mature forum where I actually had a good time while fitting in. Every other forum that I joined was either composed of friends-only or trolls-only, and being in a new forum with new people and managing to fit in has made me stick around.
So now, HotN is dying. I guess this kinda is goodbye. Now would be the time that I'd start crying, but I'm just giggling while reading old posts and my introduction thread and that kinda stuff.
Thank you, Heroes. For letting me have a great time around. I hope I managed to entertain you atleast the tiniest bit, because you definitely entertained me a lot.
As they say... The show must go on!
(I know, it doesn't fit, but I just imagine myself opening my right arm as if I had a wing and spinning slowly 180º degrees and then walking away. Wouldn't that be awesome?)

The topic description should sum this up pretty well. Those things in life/society/whatever that just don't seem to make any sense. I thought up this topic earlier when I was unpacking some old games of mine and came accross a couple "Collector's Edition" ones. Now this makes sense if it was released the same time as the game originally came out, but I know for a fact this one was not. Reason this doesn't make sense, collectors don't usually want the re-release stuff, they want the original, unopened pristine ones.

Figured I'd get this out now. I've been thinking about this for a little while now, and I think I've come to a decision. Once June hits, I probably won't be coming here anymore. We're not all that active anyway, and I'm going to be extremely busy. The baby is due in June, so I have that to contend with, and then a few months after that, I'll be starting college. Between going to school full time and taking care of my child, I'm going to be too busy to check up here. Until then, I'll stay, I guess, though I don't do much here anymore as is. It's been nagging at me, because it's just not going to be practical. The baby in and of itself is going to wear me out, so.....I just thought I'd give anyone that cares a heads up that my time here is officially drawing to a close.

I was watching the Today Show this morning and they had this little special on "belly fat" and how it leads to all sorts of health risks.
Essentially, the best way to prevent the "belly bulge" is to follow the 15 grams of sugar diet (for the whole day).
15 GRAMS! Is that humanly possible? I can understand cutting back on sugar. Avoiding soda and sugary juices and sweets and packaged food that is jacked up with sugar. But, the 15 gram of sugar diet is saying fruit and yogurt for breakfast is too much sugar. Chicken with a little sauce is too much sugar (yet somehow chicken and pasta (aka STARCH) is not too much sugar).
If you look at the sugars in most of your food you'll find one serving is usually over 15 grams of sugar, regardless of what it is. A single serving of Activia yogurt is 18 grams.
It seems to be health these days we can't eat 2/3rds of the foods, including fruits, available to us. At least that is what health experts are saying.
*rolls eyes*
IMO, the best way to eat healthy is to eat what you need, when you need it, and in moderation.
[/annoyed rant]

As I wait for midnight to come, I figured I'd ask. I generally like holidays, even ones that aren't really about anything, but I know that a lot of people have at least one holiday that they can't stand.
New Years is probably mine. Honestly, it's a lot of hype for something that isn't really about anything. I get the point: to celebrate the year that's past and celebrate the year to come and the coming opportunity. Awesome. I really need to stay up until midnight to say that the one day has turned into the next day, to say that time has gone by. Yay. How exciting. While I'm forced to stay up until midnight (I actually []like[/i] sleep and don't like being tired) I have plenty of time to dwell on the crap that's happened over the last few months and all of the things that are coming up that are going to stress me out even more. It's true that there are things to look forward to, but they just aren't as easy to see as the depressing things that are certain to come up.
Halloween is a close second. I've never liked it. I've never really like candy anyway, so what was the point in walking around and feeling bad asking strangers for food. We give kids candy... but for what? They aren't giving anything in return, they're running around in diguises. It's basically a giant worldwide mugging... but with less violence and more sugar. Then there's the hyper children, the 18 year olds who go around for candy, the fear when you try to walk anywhere and feel like your being stalked, stuff lying everywhere the morning after... It's just no my cup of tea.

Let's write a story. You know, I've always wanted to write a book and stuff, but never managed to do it because I get bored - Instead, let's all write a book together. Here's the basic set...
- Quote:
-
Middle Age. There's swords, armours, knights, horses. There's also magic, and strange beings. No dragons though, that's too cliché.
There's a king and a queen, a royal guard, and epic battles, conquers, betrayals. There's outland guys, mages, soldiers, regular people, but no other races (no orcs or stuffs).
Now, give me ideas for the story, things that might have happened, develop it as you like. Tell me what you'd do with this! :3

Ideas to make the forum more active. Go!
- Renovate the forum layout;
- Wipe out all posts;
- Finish a *ing decent RP (don't worry, I'm on it ma'am!);
- Get new members;
- Start threads that can last for a while.
Imo, if we clean out the forum and delete all posts, we'll be able to start from scratch and make all topics again, which will help with activity. We just have too much useless topics around.
Also, create an announcement box where the chatbox is currently at, and insert news like "We're reviving this place, all posts deleted, whatever, blabla".
Sepparating the chatbox from the index would be a good idea. And making it chatango would be a good idea too, but idk if you liked it or not last time, so ignore this part.
We need stuff that actually attract people to specific forums. GFX lessons, RP fighting tournaments, anime episode downloads (which we already have. Nice one, Nubi!) and if we decide to go all-out illegal, music downloads would be cool, too. If we managed to have a sub-forum with discographies from japanese bands, we'd definitely get a bigger crowd that is into anime, since discographies are hard to get and people might actually register to download them.
